What do previous guests say?

Sokn Gard has both housing on the farmyard (Oldemorhuset) and by the sea (Naustet). Both with their charm and characteristics.

Where do you want to live?

Boathouse

The old boathouse on the farm, a building with a long history, became something special that aroused interest throughout Norway. It is a place one knows it is good to be, and the interplay between old and new makes it unique.

Oldemorhuset

Perhaps the most cozy building in the entire yard. Has always only been called the "great-grandmother's house" since it was where great-grandmother lived in her time. Long history and a lot of soul lies in walls, ceilings and floors.

Down to earth farmers

For many generations, the farm has been in the Eiane family. Sokn Gard is today owned and operated by Gunvor Helle Eiane and Jostein Eiane. What makes Sokn Gard so special?

VERY COZY!

"We have had some very nice days in Oldemorhuset! Nice and clean, beautiful views from all the windows and beautiful daffodils on the table. Fantastic to be able to visit the animals whenever we wanted, and we were so lucky to have a lamb birth! Enjoy two weeks old lovely kittens were also magically nice to go the great walk along the lake that starts at the house. Lovely family who rents out, so cozy and helpful. Highly recommended! "

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

"For a beautiful location and for an incredibly beautiful boathouse. We were 4 friends who met for a weekend, and the boathouse exceeded our expectations. It was clean everywhere and the kitchen was well equipped, we lacked absolutely nothing. We enjoyed evenings with barbecues and bonfires in the fire pit and morning coffee out on the rocks by the floating pier.Sightseeing for rock carvings in the area is recommended.
Otherwise, communication and handover of keys was hassle-free.
We would love to come here again "

Sokn: Nice on the beach

Many have driven either above or below Sokn. If you turn off the E39, you can take a tour along the sea and see new sides of the island.
